Cars & Coffee 8-31-24The last day of August brought a mixed weather forecast: cloudy in the morning with showers in the afternoon, but it didn’t deter car enthusiasts from bringing their cars and truck (one U-Haul box truck was a participant!) for a cup of coffee, a Dunkin donut, and a bit of car—or truck—talk. It was a bitter-sweet day for us here at the Classic Car Center because it marked the retirement of the head of our shop for the last 12 years, Bill Grant—although Bill has promised to continue as the “chief chef and bottlewasher” for Cars & Coffee. Many of the attendees had the opportunity to visit with Jim Bracco who will take over the running of the repair/restoration work with his new company, Vintage Auto Repair, based in our former shop area. The morning ended with no rain as 10:00 am rolled by and the last of our visitors headed for home. The visual reminder of this morning’s activities is provided by the photography of Bill Grant. And pencil in September 28 on your calendar as the date of our next Cars & Coffee. |
