Cars & Coffee 10-25-25Nature served up a perfect—albeit chilly—fall day for our last Cars & Coffee of the 2025 season. It’s a good thing that “Dunkin” is no longer a publicly traded company—as we learned on Saturday—because their stock would otherwise be affected by the last day of our group’s donut consumption! And so it was on Saturday as the cars and trucks arrived, the coffee urns emptied, and the donuts disappeared. As the pictures by Bill Grant below (and by Sam Winter on our website) illustrate, we had a showing of stock and modified, classic and modern, modest and costly, sedans and convertibles, two passenger and 4 passenger (plus one 3-passenger if you count the Porsche with a go-cart on its roof!) cars and trucks which attended. And speaking of attendance, if we gave out trophies—which we don’t—certainly one would have to go to Watson, the Westie who accompanies Dietmar and Kevin while they keep our donut table stocked. Watson has had perfect attendance—as have many of you—but he hasn’t eaten a single donut! And speaking of Families of the Wounded—which we weren’t—you all have been overly generous in your support of that organization through your purchases of restored lawn and garden equipment—not just this year but ever since we started displaying those items in our entrance lobby and advertising them with these emails. That’s why I’m perplexed why that one Stihl blower remains like a forlorn puppy awaiting rescue at the SPCA kennel. Certainly one of you needs a rebuilt (by Dietmar Weselin) blower this fall, particularly at half the price of a new one. Wouldn’t one of you like to take that “puppy” home? Well it’s the end of another great season of outdoor automobile events, and we here at the Classic Car Center would like to thank you for joining us in these monthly gatherings. It is always a pleasure seeing each of you and we look forward to continuing our get-togethers next April. |
