Cars & Coffee 8-29-2026

A clear and cool morning greeted us on this, the last Saturday in August—a reminder that fall driving weather is fast approaching. The great weather-day brought out many of our old friends along with almost as many new ones. We were without two of our regulars: Dietmar Weselin who was at his son’s UVA Graduate School commencement (so Bill Grant was in charge of donut display) and our photographer, Sam Winters, who was shooting a wedding (so Bill Grant was in charge of photography as well).

As is usually the case, we had a wide array of vehicles, some of which are pictured below and more of which will appear on our website later in the week. One of Bill’s photos captured a group of people gathered near a Volkswagen (see below) and if they all emerged from that VW Bug or planned to get in, Ringling Brothers would be jealous

We didn’t have any takers for the Families of the Wounded lawn equipment so meticulously restored by Dietmar, so if your mower breaks down or your trimmer won’t start, keep us in mind.
