2002 Maserati Spyder: Price: $24,900
2002 Maserati: 24,969 Miles
A Rare Find—a Low-mileage Maserati Spyder
After an 11-year absence from the American market, Maserati came roaring back with the Spyder GT sporting beautiful Italian styling and powered by a 32 valve DOHC engine built by Ferrari/Maserati. This Spyder has been pampered since new and it looks like it!
This 2002 Spyder is a standout:
- Only 24,968 original miles
- Silver paint that looks factory-new
- Leather seat upholstery
- Ferrari/Maserati 4.2 DOHC engine
- Six-speed manual transmission
- Air conditioning
- Power windows, power steering,
- 4-wheel disc brakes
- And a ride you won’t believe!
They don’t get any Nicer!
- Paint and Body
The Silver finish is in excellent condition. The paint gleams and shows off the car’s exciting lines designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Ghibli and Bora fame.
The body and underside of the car are free of rust and with less than 25,000 miles, the underside is almost as clean as the topside. The engine compartment is fully detailed.
The matching glove leather seat upholstery looks like new and is comfortable while providing great support. The door panels and carpeting are in excellent condition as well. There is some tackiness on portions of the buttons and interior trim that is symptomatic of the materials of that era used by Ferrari/Maserati.
The convertible top is in very good condition with only one area of fabric damage (see pictures) and stows conveniently—and automatically—under a rear deck lid when you want to enjoy the sun and fresh air.
The Ferrari/Maserati F 136, 32-valve OVHC V-8 engine is rated at 380hp and runs and drives like a new one. Use of this engine resulted in a significant increase in power over the previous 3200 GT models.
This Spyder is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual transmission that reinforces the feeling of being in control of this fast and powerful sports car. Shifting is both effortless and fun.
- Tires, Brakes, Suspension
This Maserati has 4 Bridgestone Potenza tires [235/40R18 (front) and 265/35R18 (rear)] that are mounted on alloy wheels. The tires have most of their tread-life remaining.
The 4-wheel power disc brakes work properly and smoothly in bringing the car to a rapid and safe stop.
The Spyder has a light alloy double wish-bone suspension system with “anti-dive” features and front and rear anti-roll bars. The car’s design results in a 48/52% front/rear weight distribution.
- Luxury and Monitoring Systems
This car has power windows, power steering, power seats, a tachometer and an air conditioning system that blows cold.
All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges/lights (temperature, fuel, amp and oil pressure) work properly. Similarly, the lights, horn, and turn signals all work as do the tachometer and speedometer. The mileage on the working odometer is 24,969.
A Sleek Italian Sports Car that looks like a Show Car and Drives like a Dream Car!!
One would have to look far and wide to find a nicer Maserati Spyder than this one. Whether at a national or regional car show, dinner at a special restaurant or trip to a country inn you can be assured that this car will be noticed and admired by everyone who sees it.
This Ferrari-powered, low-mileage Maserati represents not just a great driving experience but a sound investment as well. You will ride in elegance and arrive in style each time you take this sports car out of your garage.
