Great to Look at; Great to Drive!
- Paint and Exterior
The recent re-spray in original Mayan Red paint is in excellent condition and gets the driver ready for the performance that awaits under the hood.
The removable factory-tinted T-tops are in excellent condition and offer a nice-weather open air option for cruising.
The underside of the car appears free of rust [other than normal surface rust]
The upholstery is all in very good condition although the bucket seats show some use wear. The balance of the interior looks almost new.
The original Pontiac 400 cid V-8 engine runs and drives like a new one. It starts right up and has plenty of power to make this a legitimate muscle car.
The automatic transmission shifts properly and smoothly as one would expect in Pontiac’s legendary muscle/sports car and makes driving in traffic almost an enjoyable experience.
- Tires, Brakes, Luxury and Monitoring Systems
The raised-letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires mounted on honey-comb wheels complete the look that Trans Am is famous for, and the tires look almost new.
The power brakes—disc in the front–work properly and smoothly in bringing the car to a rapid and safe stop.
This car also has power steering and factory air conditioning as well as a modern Alpine sound system.
All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges/lights (temperature, fuel, amp and oil pressure) appear to work properly as do the safety features (lights, wipers, horn, turn signals). The car has seatbelts for 4.
A Trans Am that you will Enjoy Driving!!
On the road—and that’s the point, isn’t it—this ’78 muscle car is a delight. Whether at a local car show, dinner at a special restaurant or a night out for ice cream, you can be assured that this car will be noticed and admired by everyone who sees it.
This Trans Am represents not just a great driving experience but a sound investment as well. Apart from the investment value of this car, it is hard to put a price on the feeling of enjoyment when other drivers and pedestrians wave and give you a “thumbs up.”
