1966 Mustang GT–Air conditioned

1966 Mustang GT Coupe: Fully Restored

This 1966 Mustang is like a trip to look at new cars in the Ford showroom back in 1966:

  • Respray in original Tahoe Turquoise in excellent condition;
  • Exceptional interior;
  • The powerful 289 engine
  • Automatic transmission;
  • Air conditioned;
  • GT options
  • Front disc brakes

The Mustang’s VIN is: 6F07A297675

This is a must see Mustang.

An Exceptionally Nice Mustang!

This is clearly one of the nicest Mustangs we have had for sale in the past decade! The paint is great, the interior is exceptional, mechanically it appears flawless and it drives correctly.

  • Paint and Chrome

This Mustang is finished in Tahoe Turquoise and the paint looks great.

The chrome trim is in excellent condition, and all of the windows are in very good condition and operate correctly.

As would be expected with such a top-quality car, the body and underside of the car appear free of any apparent rust issues.

  • Interior

The turquoise vinyl interior upholstery is in excellent condition with no signs of fading, staining, splitting or tears, and is an excellent complement to the Tahoe Turquoise exterior.

The dash pad is in excellent condition with the exception of one area near the glovebox (see pictures). All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges (temperature, amp, fuel and oil pressure) appear to be working properly. Similarly, the speedometer works, as does the safety equipment (lights, horn, wipers, seat belts, etc.).

  • Engine

The car’s 289 V-8 engine is strong and peppy. The engine starts right up and runs well, providing all the thrill that these “pony” coupes are famous for.

  • Transmission

The three-speed automatic transmission operates smoothly, making driving in traffic a breeze.

  • Rear End/Brakes/Wheels/Tires

The car’s brakes—front disc, rear drum–stop the car quickly without pulling to either side. The wheels are the original GT style and are mounted with radial tires that have most of their tread remaining.

  • Comfort and Safety Features

Power steering helps turn this Pony car into a vehicle that any enthusiast will enjoy. The air conditioning turns any hot, sultry day (or night) into a pleasant drive. And the working AM radio lends a note of originality that most older cars have lost long ago. Four seat belts will put you and your family at ease as you cruise to your favorite destination.

A Great Example of one of Ford’s Most Popular and Collectible Pony Cars

A Mustang is on almost everyone’s list of their favorite collector cars, known for its great styling and impressive performance, so finding a nice one can be a challenge. Our ‘66 is a real find as well as being a head-turner: great paint, excellent interior, automatic transmission, and A/C. These cars are highly in demand and therefore represent not just a great driving experience but a sound investment as well. And nothing can beat seeing the smiles and thumbs-up as you drive down the road or the crowds the car draws at cruise-ins or at the local ice cream shop. We invite you to take a look at this unique pony car.
